What a pleasure to have a chance to meet you … and to have you lead us through your terrific fundraising workshop! On behalf of all the board of BQEF we would like to thank you for your time, energy, vision, and infectious enthusiasm.
I personally have not come away from any previous event dealing with fundraising with anything near the amount of excitement for what is possible as I did from your presentation.
We all are very grateful for your both your willingness to help us this way in our work and for the skill and honesty with which you did it.
Blessings to you in your work and life, we look forward to future encounters.
I worked with Lori at the Inter-Agency Network for Education in Emergencies (INEE) from 2010 to 2014.
My experience with Lori as my manager and supervisor was my most enriching to date, and fundamentally shaped me as a professional. Two things stand out to me about Lori.
First, Lori embodies the concept of servant leadership – not just in the causes and organizations she works, for but also in her ability to provide vision and motivation to her team while staying focused on building shared goals and collective impact.
Second, Lori has the rare ability of effectively managing as if playing chess: she can understand and capitalize on the unique differences of the members of her team to ensure that their roles and contributions are most relevant to their skills and abilities. In this way, Lori is able to create value that is greater than the sum of the parts. In my experience, finding coworkers and managers with this innate ability is exceedingly rare and highly valued.
